Local Alcohol Policy - Submissions Analysis, 2013
Developing a database to register an unprecedented number of submissions made from multiple sources on curtailing alcohol sales in the inner city.
Role: Research Analyst Monitoring & Research Unit Christchurch City Council.
Achievements:
- Registered over 4000 public submissions and reported to council.

The Local Alcohol Policy consultation required several Facebook surveys by the Liquor Council to be included along with the official submissions. The output was a word-searchable pdf report the policy analysts could use for manual coding.
- Built MS Access forms & reports, SQL Server backend database.
- 4,060 submissions received on the Draft Local Alcohol Policy from multiple sources: 1,053 submissions were received through the Council website, 1,929 submissions were received through the Hospitality New Zealand survey on Facebook, and 1,0708 submissions were received from a Chch Late petition on Facebook.
- Charts and Graphs were printed on pages 8-49 of the report to Council.
